I expected more from this hotel, especially given the high price we paid. While the surrounding area is beautiful, the room itself was quite dated and lacked the luxury touches I anticipated. Cleaning issues and inconsistent hot water added to my disappointment. However, the staff was attentive and responsive, which was a positive aspect of our stay.
Our stay was wonderful, with a beautiful suite and plenty of amenities for the whole family to enjoy. The location might be a little farther from downtown Carmel, but the serene ambiance and well-organized fitness center made up for it. The breakfast options were fantastic and the large swimming pool was a hit with the kids. However, some aspects, like the distance to the ice machine, could use a little improvement.
Our stay at the lodge was truly delightful. The spacious room was comfortable, and we loved the tranquil surroundings that made for a peaceful getaway. While we enjoyed many aspects, the journey to our room was a bit challenging due to the top-floor location with heavy luggage.
